Steve Howard
The son of a Costa Rican mother and an Oregon lumberjack, Steve was born in Long Beach, California. He is the father of Alejandra Howard. When he was very young, his family moved to Cocoa Beach, Florida where he often watched the missile launches from Cape Kennedy. When Universal Studios Florida opened in 1990 Steve was chosen to be one of the opening cast members: “Who ya gonna call?”. Television production in Florida was busy in the early 90s and Steve guest-starred in multiple episodes of SeaQuest 2032 (1993), Pointman (1995) and Unsolved Mysteries (1987) as well as Tom Hanks’ HBO award-winning mini-series From the Earth to the Moon (1998) and the USA original movie Perfect Crime (1997) with Mitzi Kapture.
Fast forward to 2008 and Steve moved to Barcelona, Spain. ¡Olé! His kids kept Steve hands full for a few years but once they were out of diapers his wife allowed him to get an agent. There is not a lot of work for English-speaking actors in Spain but (lucky for Steve) there are hardly any English-speaking actors.
Steve can be seen in the 4th of six episodes of Balenciaga (2023).
In October 2019, Steve found it wonderful to work as Dermot Mulroney’s hitman in Hanna (2019). In September 2019 he offered medical counsel as a doctor in En el corredor de la muerte (2019) In July 2019 in Leonor Watling Steve has a great scene negotiating in The Vineyard (2021). In March 2019, after spending 3 months in Portugal with his daughter, Alejandra Howard while she filmed Fatima (2020), Steve is back in action with En el corredor de la muerte (2019) based on the true, ongoing saga of Pablo Ibar and Wasp Network (2019) based on espionage between Cuba and the USA.
February 2017 – Steve is Pope Pius V in Queens (2016), a historical mini-series filmed in Spain & Scotland that tells the story of the fight for power between Elizabeth l and Mary of Scotland. Filmed in English in Spain and Scotland and directed by Jose Luis Moreno, Steve portrays Pope Pius V in episode 4.
In 2016 – Steve booked Inside (2016), a remake of the French horror film of the same name. However, this is an English language version. Work for American actors in Spain is growing!
