Bruin Chan
Bruin Chan (United Kingdom.) Actor and writer whose screen work spans drama, comedy, and adventure. His acting credits include the short films PASTICHE (2014), THE OPEN RELATIONSHIP (2022), and POINT OF NO RETURN (2026). He also appeared in the pandemic-themed thriller RICH FLU (2024), directed by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, alongside Rafe Spall, Lorraine Bracco, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead.
Bruin trained extensively in the Chubbuck technique, studying for three years under acting coach Elsena Shehaj, where he developed a strong foundation in performance and character work.
Alongside his acting career, Bruin is an accomplished writer, with a focus on comedy. He frequently collaborates with his brother and writing partner, Louis Chan. Together, they were selected for the BBC Comedy Writers Room x BESEA Writers programme in 2020 and have created content for BBC Three Online.
During lockdown, Bruin and Louis developed TAKIN Ls, a slate of short comedy projects that includes the award-winning Roadman Au Pair, Sticks of Fury, and the upcoming What Would Mother Say, featuring Aoife Hinds and Kaja Chan.
Bruin is currently developing Roadman Au Pair into a sitcom with Monumental. He is also in pre-production for his directorial debut, the short film CASA LALA, in which he will both direct and star.
