Lia Ikkos
Lia Ikkos is a Spanish-British film and television actor with Greek heritage. She has made her name in the new wave of Greek cinema, collaborating with the country’s emerging cinematic talents, notably Alex Tsilifonis in the 2024’s LIFF Festival Jury’s Award winner for Best Film, Cafe 404, as well as a notable international directors including Hernan Corbera via Greece’s leading production companies.
Trained at RADA in MA Text and Performance and the Guildhall School of Music Juniors in Classical Vocal Studies, her debut appearances were as a repertoire company member of Poland’s heritage Gardzienice Theatre under the direction of Wlodzimiers Staniewski, Grotowski’s protégée. Travelling world stages playing classical ancient text in the iconic physically and musically dynamic “poor theatre” style, then led her to assisting contemporary European masters, directors Katie Mitchell and Mark Ravenhill, among others.
Multilingual and culturally sensitive, she performs in French, Spanish, English, Portuguese, Polish, and Greek and is based across Barcelona, Athens and London.
